Superstar Rajinikanth has requested his fans not to take pains to attend his younger daughter Soundarya’s wedding ceremony in Chennai on Friday. “At the same time, I need all your blessings”, he said.

In a statement on Wednesday, the top actor said that though he wanted to invite all the fans to his daughter’s marriage, he was unable to do so because of space constraint and logistic reasons.

“Hence, with a heavy heart, I took a decision not to invite you. But I request you all to bless the couple”, he said. Soundarya will marry Ashwin, a Chennai based builder at a high profile ceremony at Rani Meyammai Hall in Egmore Friday.

Arrangements for the event are being supervised personally by the Superstar himself. If sources are to be believed, Rajini has gifted a brand new apartment at Chetpet to Soundarya and she will move with her husband to the new house immediately after the wedding.
